Research Foundation for the State University of New York
In 2021, NYSHealth awarded the Research Foundation for the State University of New York a grant to conduct research on food system localization efforts in New York municipalities and identify actionable steps to sustain vibrant food systems.
Research Foundation of The City University of New York
In 2021, NYSHealth awarded the Research Foundation of The City University of New York (CUNY), on behalf of CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy, a grant to lead a campaign promoting a healthier food environment on CUNY campuses.
In 2021, NYSHealth awarded BluePrint Geneva a grant to expand a farm box program for low-income residents lacking access to healthy, affordable food in the City of Geneva.
American Farmland Trust
In 2021, NYSHealth awarded American Farmland Trust a grant to advance a New York State farm-to-school program that increases local food spending in schools.
In 2021, NYSHealth awarded Equity Advocates a grant to develop a plan for a grassroots-driven New York City Food Policy Council.
In 2021, NYSHealth awarded Foodlink a grant to expand its mobile Curbside Market program in Rochester to expand healthy food options for families that use the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene
In 2021, NYSHealth awarded the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene a grant to develop a curriculum for congregate housing residents with serious mental illness and connect residents with healthy food through a mobile farmers market.
New York City Health + Hospitals
In 2021, NYSHealth awarded NYC Health + Hospitals a grant to pilot a home-delivered fruit and vegetable prescription program for low-income families with young children.
