Please join OpenNotes for its debut presentation of a new webinar series called: OpenNotes Grand Rounds.
The inaugural webinar, hosted by OpenNotes’ Executive Director Catherine DesRoches, DrPH, Director of Dissemination John Santa, MD, MPH, and Senior Strategist of Outreach and Communications Liz Salmi, will be an introduction to OpenNotes and an overview of best practices for gaining support within health systems for sharing notes as well as a discussion about maximizing functionality of notes for patients.
In this new series of webinars OpenNotes seeks to share information with health care systems, EHR vendors, clinicians, patients, and anyone else interested in learning more about the research behind the cultural shift toward greater transparency through the sharing of clinicians’ notes with patients.
OpenNotes is a national movement to give patients access to their own clinical notes written by their doctors, nurses, or other clinicians. To help empower patients, NYHealth issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) in 2017, Spreading OpenNotes in New York State, to foster the spread of OpenNotes to more New York State hospitals and patients.
