NYSHealth’s annual conference on Empowering Health Care Consumers will take place Monday, November 5, 2018.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Eric Manheimer, former medical director at Bellevue Hospital. He is currently a producer, a writer, and the medical consultant for the NBC TV series New Amsterdam, based on his book 12 Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital and his own experience as a physician turned cancer patient.

The “Partnership in Action: Patients and Providers” panel features patients and providers discussing how they are working together to advance patient-centered care, meaningful engagement, and partnerships.

The “How Listening to Patients Leads to Innovation” panel features examples of how providers, payers, and other sectors are elevating patient voices, with resulting positive outcomes.
