The National Commission on Correctional Health Care will host a virtual conference to connect new and experienced correctional health care professionals from across the nation to share best practices and lessons learned. The virtual conference will facilitate continuing education and professional development opportunities through seminars and live Q&A sessions. Registrants can:

  • Learn about best practices to address major health care issues that commonly affect incarcerated individuals, including diabetes, mental illness, HIV, oral health, substance use, and hypertension;
  • Discover strategies for implementing new models of care; and
  • Understand the landscape for current legal, ethical, and administrative issues and prevention methods in correctional settings.

For certain professionals, the conference sessions are eligible for continuing education credits. Session content will be recorded and available through August 4, 2020.

Cost to participate:

  • General attendees: $325
  • Certified Correctional Health Professionals (CCHPs) and Members of the Academy of Correctional Health Professionals: $300
  • Surveyors: $200
