The American Public Health Association is hosting its 2021 Annual Meeting and Expo from October 24–27, 2021. This year’s theme is “Creating the Healthiest Nation: Strengthening Social Connectedness.”

From increases in substance use and suicide to reduced quality of life among older adults, the impact of widespread social isolation is profound. Public health policies and practices can help counter social isolation by strengthening social cohesion and connectedness. This conference will showcase emerging research and findings of how public health—working alongside other key sectors—can contribute to environments that counteract isolation and despair.

Registrants can attend sessions virtually or in person at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
