For more than 15 years, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) has fought to connect, unite, and empower post-9/11 veterans. With a member base of more than 425,000, IAVA and its leaders remain at the forefront of key battles in ensuring that returning veterans receive the services they need and have a voice on Capitol Hill and across the country.

Please join the New York Health Foundation (NYHealth) for a conversation with Jeremy Butler, the newly appointed CEO of IAVA, for a discussion on IAVA’s direction for the future and how it will affect veterans across New York State. Mr. Butler will speak about what IAVA is focusing on in the coming year; what IAVA members say about pressing topics such as veteran suicide, medical cannabis, and improvements to VA; and which topics are still not getting the attention they deserve. He will also discuss the results from IAVA’s Annual Member Survey, the most comprehensive non-governmental survey of the post-9/11 veteran generation, as well as the policy agenda set forth by IAVA to address the needs of its members.

Please R.S.V.P. by August 15, 2019. Lunch will be provided.
