On July 29, 2020, NYHealth hosted a webinar on partnering with people of color and low-income communities on their health care needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 both highlights and deepens inequality in societies across the world. Addressing the racial, ethnic, and cultural inequities in health care requires partnering with minority patients and families to ensure that efforts are grounded in a true understanding of their experiences and guided by self-determined priorities.

Bev Johnson, President/CEO at Institute for Patient- and Family-Centered Care (IPFCC), shared strategies and resources for meaningful, effective collaboration with people of color to bring about change and improvement in health care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
