Health Literacy & Seniors: An Age Friendly Approach

Say Ah!, a consumer-led health literacy nonprofit that helps people make good choices about their health and manage their care, is hosting a symposium: "Health Literacy & Seniors: An Age Friendly Approach."
This half day symposium will help health and social service professionals learn more about the impact health literacy has on health outcomes for seniors. It will provide training in health literacy best practices for finding, creating, and evaluating health information materials for people age 60 and older.
The keynote speaker, Christina Zarcadoolas, PhD, is an internationally recognized expert in health literacy and public understanding of health and science. She is the lead author of the critically acclaimed book, Advancing Health Literacy: A Framework for Understanding and Action.
