2013 Special Projects Fund
The New York State Health Foundation (NYSHealth) has a broad mission to improve the health of New York State residents. In order to have a tangible impact, most of the Foundation's grantmaking is focused on three priority areas: expanding health care coverage, improving diabetes prevention, and advancing primary care.
The Foundation also recognizes that it can be an important resource if it is responsive to opportunities that fit our mission, but are outside our three priority areas. Special Projects Fund awards should be considered one-time, non-renewable funding opportunities. Only in exceptional circumstances would NYSHealth consider making an additional grant for previously funded projects.

Step 1: All applicants are required to complete the online inquiry form to determine whether a proposed project fits the funding criteria. NYSHealth staff will review and respond to inquiries on a first-come, first-serve basis.
We strongly encourage you to read the SPF Inquiry Form Instructions prior to completing the online inquiry form. It is recommended that applicants complete the online inquiry form as soon as possible. Based on the outcome of the review, applicants will be advised as to whether they should submit a full application.
Step 2: Eligible applicants will be given access to the full online application and accompanying instructions.
