As a result of the economic downturn, many organizations were forced to scale back programs, decrease the number of people that they served, and in some cases, close their doors. Through this grant initiative, NYSHealth sought to help sustain vital organizations while facilitating their transition to new and reorganized forms that would be more sustainable over time.
