Kelly A. Hunt
Chief Program Learning Officer
As Chief Program Learning Officer, Kelly Hunt ensures that New York State Health Foundation (NYSHealth) staff, grantees, and other targeted audiences learn from the Foundation's investments. Ms. Hunt provides leadership in developing and producing a scorecard to track programmatic impact and other elements of organizational excellence in philanthropy. Ms. Hunt also helps staff evaluate specific grants and develop large-scale evaluations, manage public grant outcome reports, and develop new programs and program areas.
Ms. Hunt has 12 years of experience in health care philanthropy. As a research officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), she conducted original policy research and developed and managed large research grants. She also managed and produced RWJF’s annual Balanced Scorecard report. Prior to her work in philanthropy, Ms. Hunt was a management consultant in the private sector at firms specializing in human resources. She was also a job development officer for a community-based organization dedicated to serving the needs of the homeless in Alameda County, California.
Ms. Hunt holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University.
