Consumer Empowerment and Building Healthy Communities Intern
As the Consumer Empowerment and Building Healthy Communities Intern, Caroline Sedano works with the Vice President and Program staff to support projects that fall within the Foundation’s priority areas.
Prior to joining NYSHealth, Ms. Sedano worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a desk officer supporting a global HIV/AIDS program, as well as a public health associate conducting community-based health education and outreach to rural tribal communities in Washington State. In addition to her internship at NYSHealth, Ms. Sedano is a research assistant for Columbia University’s Getting Ready for School program and a teaching assistant in its Department of Population and Family Health.
Ms. Sedano holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from Brown University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health degree at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health with an expected graduation date of May 2017.
